  5. I am not working as a QMAP, but I heard it's a pretty rewarding career with lots of opportunities in different healthcare settings. You can read a bit more about the role here, and what it entails: https://nursa.com/credentials/qmap-87 it talks about how having this nursing credential provides nurses with additional job opportunities and may lead to higher salaries.
  6. Hi Miranda! I am pretty certain that Colorado has established regulations to ensure safe staffing levels in hospitals, including Med/Surg units in Denver. I found this statistic on the Colorado General Assembly's website that: " a certain act, I think that was established in September 2022 requires the department to notify a hospital if the hospital's number of staffed beds exceeds 80%."

  12. Hi everyone! I am looking at picking up some Denver, CO, Medsurg jobs this fall. Does anyone know how many patients to expect on MedSurg units in Denver? I think that by law, there are safe staffing standards in this state. https://nursa.com/blog/rn-to-patient-staffing-ratios

Hi Nikki! Way to go, the grind is rough! Here is a program that you could do that's a PN to ADN route. They are full for fall 2023 but you could into it for next round. https://www.arapahoe.edu/admissions/paying-college/tuition-fees Also, this is a link to the COF (College Opportunity Fund Stipend) info that you also might qualify for to help you out with tuition costs: https://cdhe.colorado.gov/students/how-do-i/college-opportunity-fund-cof-stipend Keep working hard, you'll make it through!

Hi Ladies, I'm new to travel/per diem, so I will take any pointers you can give me! I have been in an LPN to RN bridge (Pueblo), but recently had to put school on hold to make some $$$$!! If you know of a program I can get back into (Denver area) let me know! ****On that note, I am super broke so if your facility is needing more LPN's don't be afraid to message me. TOODLES!
  31. @Sandra Revisiting this topic, thanks for the feedback everyone. Filters are about to change, and we would like you to help us as we roll out our new filter system. Look out for an email from my coworker Amuia for more information on this. 🙏

  38. Apologies that you continue to have this issue with filters. I can assure you that improving filters are a very common conversation around here at Nursa HQ and feedback we receive often. Please send all the filter feedback to us! And all the other feedback ideas you got. Unfortunately, when we get a bug, it can be hard to know specifically how many app users the given issue is affecting. We appreciate you calling in and making us aware of issues you experience. Thank you for your patience with us, keep noting frustration points. Our strategy in the new year is to move faster to create a better experience for clinicians and these comments help us. 🙂
  39. Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification @Sandra. Thanks for being so patient with us as we try to fix glitches and it helps to hear the main pain points from clinicians in the app experience. 🙂 We will send that note to any acute care hospitals, let us know if there are specific ones that could use Nursa and you would like to pick up shifts at! We are starting hospital shifts in Denver, if you are interested you can visit here to fill out the interest form!
