Please revise facilities contract
I’m new to nursa. Since being on nursa I’ve requested so many different positions as a CNA that were available 3 and 4 days prior. The day of my shifts I receive a notification saying my shift is already filled. Then an hour before that scheduled shift. I’m asked if I am still available to work the shift. (No, because once I was told filled. I went to my day job for work).Which shows someone the facility gave the position to they called in. I’m having a hard time understanding this. It seems to be a bit unprofessional and misleading. This should be a first come first serve situation. I am so grateful that I did not leave my day job to become an continuous employee with n…

Almost No Shifts Available?
Lately this past week or so, every time I get on to look for shifts, there are only 3-6 shifts available for a 200+ mile radius? I live in a big city, but even outside of my city it doesn’t show anything. Is anyone else having this problem? Are the facilities just not posting shifts? It seems weird that there isn’t anything even 200 miles away.

Most facilities do not have the time to deny every request they get sent in, so is there anyway we can remove the facilities ability to let the shift requester know that they're not going to be accepted for the shift without the facility need to do so? And is there any way that the facility can have to choose what kind of shift it is? (Ex. On-call, full shift etc.) There should be an automated system that will allow the first requester to be confirmed and all others after to be denied or even just have the shift removed once one person already requested or has been confirmed by the shift. And a time limited request would be great so that way these facilitie…

False Advertising
There was a brief thread in July regarding facilities that post shifts but do not respond to clinicians who request them. In my previous post, I mentioned that there are certain facilities that post shifts that are not actually available, and it is misleading to clinicians and ultimately a waste of time. On Tuesday, I requested a posted shift for Friday, 12/08. I informed the scheduler about the shift this morning and included a snippet of her response. As far as I know, the facility is not known for doing this, and I hope it does not become a long-term problem. What measures has NURSA taken to discourage facilities from posting shifts 'just in case'?

impossible to get a shift
Hi everyone, is this a norm here or is it just me? I’ve signed up for 4-5 jobs this weekend and I either hear absolutely nothing-no one responds or I get assigned to it and then they cancel on me. Is there any tricks to get a shift and actually work it? any help would be appreciated. I’m about to give up. thanks!

Unreliable facilities
This is a good app but allot of the staffing from facilities don't know what they want and that's not ok. I say this because I have requested 5 shifts from one facility all for the same day. I requested these shifts about a week ago, and 3 of them are for day two are for night. It's 1pm and the facility still hasn't done it's due diligence to say the shifts I requested for the day have been filled and I can assume correctly that my night request will not give me a notice. Why is this ok? I just don't get what is the point of saying you want help if you don't need it? I think a time limited request would help because these facilities are just fooling aroun…

How come?
If a facility cancels you last minute, its ok for them to do, but if we do it we get a 2 week ban? Thats ridiculous. I had a facility cancel my shifts today for a few hours from now, stating they filled it in house. Ok, but if I had done that to them, I'd be on a 2 week ban. Of course they can get away with it and no consequences for them, meanwhile I'm missing an entire nights work because I don't have anything open last minute to pick up. It's as inconvenient for me to plan to work over night and now I'm short an entire shift for the week and either have to take the pay cut or make it up. This has happened to others I know, one drove over an hour from where we live to b…

Freezing your Accounts
Why do you not inform the Hard working Nurses that you will Freeze our Accounts if your system cancels us for a 24 hour shift. Then we have to cancel because it’s illegal to work for 24 hours?

I'm Thankful for Nursa
I just want to let ya'll know that despite of my relationship with NURSA (either good or bad), I'm still Thankful to be with this company. From CNA's, Nurses and to all NURSA staff, team and management. I want to extend my arms and say Thank you for being supportive, for providing us a competitive rate that other agencies could not match. Happy Turkey Day ya'll as well! One Love, Rain

I have been attempting to pick up shifts for a while now and I, would like to know is their anyone that has worked in the past week for this company?. Why, I had an incident with a company that allowed us Healthcare lovers to apply and send all credentialing, which ended in being a victim of identity theft, the app didn't work right, the shifts were excused as to why there was a race for being picked, no I e ever responded In a timely fashion and was left with shifts lingering until they knew well enought to just remove them themselves, no one ever replied after that, their was excuses after calling implants were made but never a resolve, call back or a change in th…

Shift Cancellation by facility
I have never had this problem before and have no idea the exact solution. I requested an RN shift and was cancelled shortly after I was scheduled for the shift. I was in the middle of driving there so I may have missed the alert. Not sure exactly when the cancellation occurred. The message states "Facility has removed you from their shifts. You are no longer scheduled for this shift." In the Nursa terms it states a facility has to pay $75 if they simply cancel you before the shift starts and within 12 hours of the shift starting. I am not seeing any $75 payment. It also states in the terms that they must pay you 50% of the remainder of the shift if you are cancell…

NCNS
A facility marked me as a NCNS when I did in fact arrive for the shift. When I arrived at the facility I was told that they were fully staffed and that I needed to call their scheduler. When I called the person, they told me that they had forgotten to cancel me and that I needed to go home. Somehow, I was then marked as a NCNS by the facility. Despite having screenshots of my calls and texts with the facility scheduler, my account is frozen with Nursa and has been for almost TWO WEEKS. How can this happen when I was the one who was inconvenienced? I arrived for the shift and have proof but Nursa does not believe their clinicians and cuts off our livelihoods instead of res…

Facilities with COVID
So I had a shift recently at a facility that had about 5 COVID residents. Myself and another girl also from NURSA were assigned to those rooms. Not a big deal I’ve been caring for COVID patients/residents since it started. One of those residents had pressed their call light. So I asked the girl if she could come help me. She said yes and we proceeded to get all the PPE on. She however did not put the n95 or face shield on. We entered the room the resident stated that she wants everybody to be wearing the n95 and face shield. Which shouldn’t be an issue. This girl began stating well it’s fine than almost started to argue with the resident stating well I think it…
