Shift request
When will you guys update your app to where if a clinician requests a shift ,that clinician gets the shift???? It shouldn’t be where multiple clinicians can request one shift. That’s how we lose out on the opportunity to make money. I say that because some buildings choose favorites and don’t give others a chance to perform or show what good they are. You’re the only app (registry) that does that .. it’s not right. Also, why are the facilities keeping the shifts posted if a clinician is not needed period?? It’s frustrating because they leave you on requested at times instead of just denying the shift or simply deleting it period. And another thing.. allowing the buildin…

Nurses' week
I was just coming in here to see if I could find anything acknowledging and Celebrating Nurses' Week. As far as I can tell, there hasnt been anything special...if this is true...I have been mistaken in the past...did i miss it??? not to toot our own horns...but we have been called heros...to have a week set aside and nothing has been awarded, not even a mention is downright sad!!! One of the facilities ordered a meal we chose and was delivered by the Administrator at 2am!!!! She went out of her way to let us know that we are appreciated...not just in words, but also a token of appreciation.....what gives??? I know we have to be making the company plenty of money that t…

"The facility is not going to be using Nursa anymore"
That's what I was told yesterday. They said that it's because Nursa is raising their rates...Are you kidding me?!?!? I have built up a rapport with this facility to where they verify my shift immediately after working it, they notify me that shifts are posted, and I communicate with the management team on a day by day bases to assist in making the facility a better place to work at...everything has been going great. Why fix what was not broken? Your greed to make more money off of my labor has resulted in no more shifts scheduled here and no more money from this facility. Who decides this??? You aren't making enough money from us already???? How do you justify the r…

Schedule bait hours, HELP!
How does Nursa support and helps us when Facilities schedule us for 12 hours than when you get here they tell you to do showers only, I’m almost done in total maybe 6 hours. Another Nursa contractor told me they sent her home early too since she was done with showers. I got an Uber for $47 dollars to get here and more than likely another $47 to go back home. After setting aside for taxes x2 since we get taxed double I’m left with technically nothing! It’s upsetting that we are being taken advantage of! Especially since facilities are paying less than $30 now. SMH! I can’t even request new shifts since I was supposed to stay until 6pm the Nursa app doesn’t let me!

Top profile?
When I view my profile on the app, it says I have a “top profile”. Just wondering if anyone knows what metrics that is based off of? Facility feedback? Experience? Just curious! Nice to see, I was hoping it is based off of facility feedback since we never really know if they were satisfied with our job performance.

Not worth the time
I've been on Nursa for about a month now and I'm going to cancel my account. There are too many options in my area that are easy and professional. My issues with this app: filters are never saved, takes 12+ hours to get a response about whether I'm booked for a shift or just never getting a response, no push notifications, shifts listed in random order when you open the app, no name badges, the "total" shift payment listed does not subtract a 30min unpaid lunch break. It doesn't need to be this complicated to find work, no matter how competitive the wages are. App developers, I recommend looking at apps like Clipboard and Teambridge. I'm sure there are other …

CNA Renewal
Hello everyone! Has anyone actually took their CNA renewal paperwork to a facility they picked up shifts at and had a nurse willing to sign their paperwork? I’ve been hesitant to go since it’s been a little bit since I picked up and I don’t know if they would even do it. I have all my reference paperwork from the facilities I picked up shifts at as well but I just wanted to see if anyone has had success doing it yet.

Facility Hidden Requirements
There is a facility where I am located that posts the majority of shifts in my area. I have been requesting shifts since my initial download of this app. Never been accepted for a shift. Messaged the point of contact repeatedly to figure out what I’m doing wrong. The staffing associate finally responds saying that they were good for the day. So why are shifts being posted that don’t even need to be filled. Then I finally got another response about how to get booked. I was told that I need to come to the facility to get a background check down and fingerprints done that will cost me out of my own pocket. How was this not communicated from weeks ago and how is anyone suppos…

Technology
It’ll be nice for NURSA to get with it.. it’s 2023 and they are still doing facility shift reports… update the way you guys clock in and out so that clinicians can get paid on time. Example either gps while using the app and have clinicians clock in and out so therefore you have a location and know they are working there for the day or have a facility sign the app when done working. It’s that simple.

Shift Cancellation by facility
I have never had this problem before and have no idea the exact solution. I requested an RN shift and was cancelled shortly after I was scheduled for the shift. I was in the middle of driving there so I may have missed the alert. Not sure exactly when the cancellation occurred. The message states "Facility has removed you from their shifts. You are no longer scheduled for this shift." In the Nursa terms it states a facility has to pay $75 if they simply cancel you before the shift starts and within 12 hours of the shift starting. I am not seeing any $75 payment. It also states in the terms that they must pay you 50% of the remainder of the shift if you are cancell…

Why is my account Frozen?
Why is my account frozen? I DID NOT cancel 3 shifts in one month, nor did I no call no show. Nursa keeps freezing my account because facility's accepts you 20 mins before the beginning of a shift which forces you to cancel the shift then turns around and freeze your account for absolutely no reason. Why aren't these disgusting establishment That constantly cancel the workers at the last minute being canceled also? It's obvious that only nurses and nursing assistance recieve unfair treatment from this app

Not knowing when I'll be getting paid
When I first started with Nursa I liked the fact that I could pick up shifts Sunday through Saturday and get paid that following Thursday. It made it easier to plan out my work, I knew how much I needed to make that week, how many hours I needed to pick, a long with how many days, all based on which bills are due and when. Now I don't know how many hours or days I need to pick up. What days will be deposited. How much to put into my bill account, savings and spending. Mainly HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE THE FACILITY TO APPROVE MY HOURS. Which is now based on when we get paid for that shift. I am a financially organized female and I can not be if the pa…

Facility orientation?
Hi Everyone! Sandra here, new to the Nursa community. Great to be here! I do have a few questions though… Are nurses oriented to the facility the first day so we know where everything is? Are we allowed to go ahead of time and get familiar with the layout of the building, med room, and other things we need to know before we start. I just feel a lot of time is wasted just trying to figure out things at the beginning of shift and take away from patient care if we don’t know where things are or how their charting system works, etc… I would appreciate any help with answering these questions. Thank you! 😊

W2 and 1099 for same employer?
So I'm wondering as a nurse what you'd need to do to qualify as both a regular working (W2) and a gig worker (form 1099) legally for the IRS working for the same company and if you could do this using Nursa in a variety of different settings. Different departments, different hospitals, different roles ect. Anyone who could share insights on this here I would appreciate it.
