  1. Is it worth it to join a nurse association/organization?

    Hey nurse peeps, went to the Arizona Nurse's Association Conference last weekend and was actually shocked by how much the association has done for nurses. I've never really been engaged in an official nurse association before and honestly thought it wasn't worth the money to join, but I was quite wrong, haha. Some of the things they talked about having done in the past year included: legislation they pushed to decrease smoke exposure in the OR (and prevent lung cancer for nurses!), creating a school nurse residency program, and setting up a mental health support system for nurses in Arizona.   2. Facility not accepting

    Hello is anyone having trouble with shifts at Mission Pines in Las Vegas? I worked there over the weekend and I had to leave a hr early for an emergency and now they won’t schedule me again because I reported the nurse and aide I was working with left me on the floor for a hr and a half while they went on break. I got a message saying I should of told the scheduler I had to leave but I told the nurse who I was working with I was leaving. Since I reported that nurse I can’t get scheduled anymore

  9. How come?

    If a facility cancels you last minute, its ok for them to do, but if we do it we get a 2 week ban? Thats ridiculous. I had a facility cancel my shifts today for a few hours from now, stating they filled it in house. Ok, but if I had done that to them, I'd be on a 2 week ban. Of course they can get away with it and no consequences for them, meanwhile I'm missing an entire nights work because I don't have anything open last minute to pick up. It's as inconvenient for me to plan to work over night and now I'm short an entire shift for the week and either have to take the pay cut or make it up.   10. Let’s discuss the rights, access and free reign and all access/no restrictions to the app ALL facility’s have compared to the severe punishments, restrictions to app that clinicians have

    Facility’s can, do and will demoralize, flag/negatively report (maliciously and with I’ll intent) a clinicians reputation with other staff members, participating facilities across the entire NURSA plateform. This includes ALL states! However, clinicians are limited to what we can see, access to app features we’re blocked from. Comments and reputations by facility’s are not shared with clinicians and there’s no intent to. Clinicians are subject to an unlawful 14 day ban for a cancellation. We are told we are 1099’s, independent contractors etc. But we are not. We are hired on as per diem, and qualify for the same rights as an employee. This is a problem on a stat…

  20. Not a single Notification

    Ever since I did the new update two days ago I have not been able to see any notifications, on the app or using my cellphone internet browser. I was lucky to have access to a desk top and finally then was able to see my notifications to end my shift report. They said many clinicians are calling in with the same issue and they are working on it. But if you do request a shift. You will need to keep checking "schedule " to see if you got approved don't want a NCNS ! Then ask the facility to fill out their shift report so it get sooner if you're unable to do your end shift report. I just put in two request for the 5th. I had also reached out to the facility …

  21. Complaint

    I was working Saturday night, I was passing my pills all a sudden a nurse came over and sent me home for some reason without any explanation. I also spoke with the DON, I feel as though she also gave me the run around too.   24. Who picks the photos for facilities?

    I saw a facility I haven't seen very often or they are relatively new. Their facility photo is a photo of the Carnegie Village Retirement Village in Belton, Missouri. Carnegie Nursing Home is a far cry from that 5 star facility. If anything that made me laugh, but it is a bit deceiving.
