As a pediatric nurse, there have been times I had to get police or social services involved in cases of suspected child abuse. I read a nightmarish story recently about a woman brought in dead of an overdose, she was obviously raped and being trafficked, and only ONE nurse advocated and got law enforcement involved. My point is - be that ONE nurse - and have you ever had to get the law involved in order to advocate for a patient or for the health of future patients?
