What's the craziest excuse you've made for calling in?

I have had my days where I couldn't muster the energy to work. The worst excuse I had? Well, I once lied that my mom was deathly sick and felt terrible about it! I prayed for weeks that my mom would not actually get seriously ill. What's the craziest thing you've used as an excuse? Can be real or fake?

As a teenager, I called in sick once (can't remember the excuse), but my aunt was going to pick me up, and I didn't want her to find out I missed work, so I had to put on my uniform and squat outside so that no one would see me through the windows until she came. 🤣 No one ever found out!
