Domestic violence awareness month

Karin Zonneveld

Question

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Violence doesn't discriminate! No matter what gender, age, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, race, religion, or nationality you have, you could still experience domestic violence.

Break the silence. Find the help you need.

One of my jobs in LA Countu did an anonimous survey of all employees on their experiences with domestic violence during a specific period of time.  The results was shared with us and revealed that a majority of employees had experienced domestic violence.

NURSA has a close to national demographic. Results could be very revealing.

This is sad news! Thank you for the suggestion! I hope we get a national census about domestic violence among healthcare professionals...
