    Daily Pay

Hello everyone I have just started with Nursa and so far, I am loving it. I really hope that daily pay would be a payment option.

    App Issues

The new update is a nightmare! I really wish the search by distance was still available, It is terrible to see jobs for areas that are hours away. The jobs aren't listed in chronological order anymore which makes finding a good shift a pain. It would honestly be better to revert the app back to how it was, this is the worst!

    Stop fixing what isn't broken

Nursa needs to stop trying to improve upon the app and fix what doesn't work correctly. That may sound harsh, but the app is buggy on a good day, and then you get an email that "we're going to update it" - which should be more like bug patches, but instead changes how the app functions and IMHO, not in a positive way.

I have the most recent update to the app, I use an Iphone XR, I emailed in about some buggy issues I was having and was told to take it here.
    So here I am.
The new update, well the algorithm made it so that jobs that are 3-4+ from me are coming up on top, and they aren't decently paying ones where I would consider the drive either. The jobs that are an hour from me? Very bottom of the list, so I have to sit and hunt for them. It no longer lets me sort them by pay or distance, or how far I'm willing to travel. I am licensed in 2 states, I live less than an hour from the state line and frequently drive to the other state, so I check that state as well.
When I look up the ones in Texas when I know I"ll be visiting, it is showing me San Antonio, Conroe (which is by Houston) etc...Both of those cities are 5-6 hours away from me, meanwhile, Fort Worth is 2.5 hours and it's where I go all the time. But can I sort it where I can find those jobs specifically? Nope.
Sometimes, I just want to sort it by best pay, because I know I"ll have to drive an hour so might as well make it worth it, but other times I know I'm planning on being in Fort Worth, Odessa, Midland, Tyler, etc. and I want to be able to plan my trips and include shifts before I leave, but we can't do that with the app anymore.

My suggestion would be to enhance the sorting feature, maybe to include being able to type in the city you want to pick up shifts in, or at least let it choose from a radius around a zipcode, or let it have multiple filters to make it the best experience.
I'd like to be able to type in Oklahoma CIty and let it get all the surrounding suburbs, then sort by best paying. I could do that before, but I can't now. Now it's automated and at least for my area, it's so far off the app is almost unuseable.
Aside from that, the bugs I've had with it previously still haven't been fixed. My app (which has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times, I worked in IT before nursing) still shows I've requested shifts I haven't, and when you click on them, they show it wasn't requested. I've sent in screenshots to tech support but y'all would rather reinvent the wheel completely rather than change a flat tire.

    Disaster

This app is just a hot mess. The shifts are not listed in chronological order, I cannot filter by mileage anymore, I am seeing shifts across the whole state that I live in, and shifts in other states even after I set the filter to just the state I’m in. So unbelievably not user friendly.

Shift Notification issues in the app/site

After checking the site for shifts, if I fail to find something I can request, I keep my eyes on the "notifications" to see what new needs come along. Unfortunately, the way they are currently set up they don't show what shift (day, evening, night/NOC) in the notification itself, meaning I have to look at them all just to see if the time works for me or not. Mostly not. It can also get flooded with notifications if I'm away for a while. (I ran errands earlier for 1 hour and there were 50 in there when I got back, 49 for the same facility, and 1 for a separate facility!) And while I have a "mark all as read" option, there isn't an option to "clear" them all. And if I don't click directly ON the X, it takes me back to the details. Huge waste of my time sometimes! What's truly irritating is that I've set up my shift filters to show a group of particular facilities, as well as my license and state, and checking the details wipes all of that out. It takes me quite a bit of searching to find all the different facilities (approx 40 facilities) and rebuild my shift preferences via the filters, only to have it destroyed so easily! So my suggestions are a "clear all" as well as the mark as read, and including the shift time within the notification itself as well as the date. And it would also help if once you DID view a facility from within the notifications, the notification would either vanish, or change from unread to read or to viewed.

I also agree with the other post regarding incorporating a distance perimeter setting.

    Password Saver/notes in NURSA App

Would like to request the feature for saving notes associated with different facilities. Specifically with all the usernames/passwords/codes etc. I'd like to be able to keep that information in one place and in the app would be ideal. In addition, to be able to note what kind of MAR they use and add little FYI's/notes about where to find things etc.

    Nurse

This most recent update has been a disaster. Assignments are no longer in chronological order meaning the soonest no longer pops up up first. I'm getting jobs dropped in my search from a few other states, even if I choose my home state in the filter.  And there is no longer a mileage option in the search.  The app worked perfectly fine before this most recent update that now it's just a mix-up of stuff.  What a mess 😵‍💫

Canceling Shifts - 2 week ban

Ability to cancel shifts without being banned for 2 weeks.  Shifts are being snatched up so fast it shouldn't matter if you cancel a few days ahead of time.

    Dates to be in order

I would like if dates would go in order for the shifts. As you can see even using the search by date the shifts still come up out of order as seen in my photo.

    Facility Feedback

Is there a way we can see how facilities rate us. I think it would be good to see I always try to bring my A game. But there is always room to improve so feed back from facility would be nice.

    FROZEN account and consecutive shifts

Is there a way to have account unfrozen for canceling shifts? Two weeks seems drastic. In addition, we are in a nursing shortage. It seems logical not only for myself for but for the patients,  facilities, and staff. I'm not trying to sound arrogant or disrespectful (its difficult to read demeanor and tone for online messages). I'm just wondering if the frozen account stuff can end sooner, or offered a freebie prior to consequence. Does anyone know how to contact a person on this frozen account? Also, I'm more than willing to travel for these shifts. I'm wondering how I could work in that area for a consecutive days. I've noticed facilities will have open shifts 3 to 5 days in a row. It would be easier if there is a way to bundle the shifts, so that when I travel for work I' m not losing money

    Response times

One thing that this app is terrible for is the response time. I never know when I’ll get a response. Even when the job is posted within less than an hour of me offering to pick up. I’ve had to end up picking up with another agency that has better protocols for picking up shifts. They have people I can call and confirm with as well. On Nursa any messages I’ve sent never get responses back. So my suggestion is that Nursa provides on call numbers with people that actually pick up the phone so I can get a response back on whether a shift is available so or not.

    Notification when banned

For some reason you can still attempt to click request shift and it gives you a weird pop up message that doesn't say you are banned.  Sitting here enjoying my 2 week ban from Nursa for canceling a shift.  Don't do that unless you are just enjoying your summer like me.

    Update:

In regards to to the message when a facility bans you, I'm not sure if its better to not see their shifts at all, get a message that accurately states that you are banned, or the current situation where it says something on a pop up message unrelated to your ban.  I think it says bad request or something like that.  In my personal situation a facility accidently banned me.  In my opinion there should be some sort of category the facility assigns to your ban and simply not showing up for 1 shift shouldn't be a permanent ban.  Maybe 30 days or something?

I tried reaching out to Nursa, but I'm not going to beg for an agency unban me for cancelling a shift that already needed to be cancelled.  There has to be a better way to work through that process.  I think my two week ban ends today or tomorrow.  That is another thing.  There is no indication of when my cancellation ban is up.  I don't know if it ends with a precise 2 week timer or its just 14 days.

    Glitches & Feedback

I appreciate the overall concept of Nursa. It allows nurses like me who are unable to commit to a schedule. The glitches with the app can get a bit frustrating at times. The only filter I have is PN & Arizona. As soon as I opened the shifts tab,  this notice pops up " we cannot find shifts for your current search, please update your filters to see more".   I add LTAC, SNF & LTC but I still get the same notification. Usually, shifts that are available, start at present day and as you continue to scroll it shows the following day and so on. However, as I was scrolling, the shifts would start on 07/10 then skip 07/11 and go to 07/12 then revert back to 07/10 then 07/11 and skip 07/12 and go to 07/13. It was not in order and shifts in other cities would pop up that were not part of my filter. I filtered the dates but it didn't help.

    Notifications

Can we get text notifications when facilities are posting shifts? Since the app is not working correctly it would be nice to get notifications about shifts

    Shifts Filters

Its incredibly annoying that I have to set the filter for my state each time I want to look at available shifts. I only have a license in one state. Why can't it be a preset like the license filter??

    Still available for shift

There should be a button are you still available for this shift.
You request a shift it's been more than 4 hours then facility accepts you by that time you already picked up with your other job or made plans.
It should ask do you still want this shift before your scheduled

Double booking and after hour support

Being able to pick up 16 hour shifts at two different facilities for the same day. I've experienced this twice now working with nursa. I am unable to request through the app because the start and end time are the same. So I've had to have the facilities call nursa and put it in manually.  I try to work 16 hours day and it doesn't always work out at the same facility due to thier needs, so I would see another facility needs help at the time my shift ends and I have to call the facility directly to ask if I can work, since I can't put a request in.
#2  After hours when you call they ask if this is an emergency press #. When you do, it brings you back to the main menu, there doesn't seem to be an after hours way to contact Nursa.

    Communication frustration

One thing that has been frustrating is the lack of communication with the schedulers. The other is about not receiving login information right away… has anyone else had issues with this?

    Accidental doubles

If a facility has consecutive shifts in a day, I will usually request both. Now, I don’t mind working doubles when I want to, but I’ve noticed if I request both - meaning either/or and that being my intent - I usually get a double. Todays a great example of I’m pulling a double because I don’t want to cancel one to count toward my cancellations. I don’t really mind because this facility is fairly far from my house so it makes up the fuel used, but I was planning on visiting before or after work and now, not so much.

What about giving the facilities the option to post them separately or to be combined as a double? Mark it on the shift before you open details, and  you could have a button to tap “Request double  shifts?” And when you tap it brings up the options on consecutive shifts so you can hit both - and they can choose either two separate people or the double to cover it - whichever is available.

It’s also good for us. Rather than sift through to find the shift to correspond, it could do that automatically. Maybe make it a bit accident proof, like where it prompts you about the shift being a double before you request it.

i like doubles, I’d literally love to have Baylor shift options on here too, especially if they offer an incentive. I like working 32 exhausting hours in 2 days and getting paid for 40. Best schedule ever.
