Shift Notification issues in the app/site

After checking the site for shifts, if I fail to find something I can request, I keep my eyes on the "notifications" to see what new needs come along. Unfortunately, the way they are currently set up they don't show what shift (day, evening, night/NOC) in the notification itself, meaning I have to look at them all just to see if the time works for me or not. Mostly not. It can also get flooded with notifications if I'm away for a while. (I ran errands earlier for 1 hour and there were 50 in there when I got back, 49 for the same facility, and 1 for a separate facility!) And while I have a "mark all as read" option, there isn't an option to "clear" them all. And if I don't click directly ON the X, it takes me back to the details. Huge waste of my time sometimes! What's truly irritating is that I've set up my shift filters to show a group of particular facilities, as well as my license and state, and checking the details wipes all of that out. It takes me quite a bit of searching to find all the different facilities (approx 40 facilities) and rebuild my shift preferences via the filters, only to have it destroyed so easily! So my suggestions are a "clear all" as well as the mark as read, and including the shift time within the notification itself as well as the date. And it would also help if once you DID view a facility from within the notifications, the notification would either vanish, or change from unread to read or to viewed.

I also agree with the other post regarding incorporating a distance perimeter setting.

The filters can be tricky, that's for sure! We hear you and agree that it can be overwhelming with so many notifications. We have been working on some features to help clean up that process for our clinicians.

I also LOVE the recommendations you gave here with showing the shift time in the notification and I'm going to pass it right along! If you have additional feedback, please schedule some time on my personal calendar 🙂 I'd love to chat. https://calendly.com/kolsen-nursa/onboarding-call

For me, it's been 3months that I last picked up a shift. I don't get notifications anymore plus when I try to set the filter to the state I'm in, it doesn't pull up anything around me. If it finally does, it's either the shift is almost 3hrs away from my city. I have called nursa customer support and they said the is an ongoing issue that's going to be fixed but apparently,  it's still hasn't. I'm thinking to just delete the app as it hasn't been useful to me in 3months.

I’ve been asking them about the same issues. I get out of state jobs and wrong specialties ALL the time now they tell me to use the filters but they don’t work at all dates are all over the place.  I’ve missed shifts too..

Hi @Amy Kelvin and @AdeleI’m really sorry for the frustration you're both having with finding shifts. We are still working on the issue with the shift results, but I apologize it's taking a little time. We are bringing back the distance filter, as we know many people have requested that, and are working to optimize our notifications -- that is very close and we'll let you know when that's done so you can be on top of shifts in your area. Thank you for your patience and your feedback. We are listening! And working to improve the app so you can find shifts that work best for you.

@Rainier Bansil @Lucinda Thanks for letting us know that you're having this problem. We've had a few people report this today, where notifications are not displaying, like your screenshot Lucinda. Apologies here... we're currently investigating what's causing this problem so we can fix it. I'll follow up when we have a resolution. Thanks for you patience.

@Lucinda @Rainier Bansil For the issue that Lucinda posted, we've found that if you log out and back in again, your notifications may reappear. This is not a permanent fix but may help until we can fix the greater issue.

@TAJUANA (*nickname KITTY) MUNDAY @Amy Kelvin @Wilda Elisbel  Hi all! I just wanted to post an update here that the distance filter is back in the Nursa App! Here's some more information on in, but let us know if you have any questions:

The new Distance Filter defaults to unlimited miles, and you drag and adjust the distance to your preferred range. It’s also more accurate because it uses Location Services to pinpoint the best shifts near you.

It's only available on the mobile app (not the web app), and make sure you enable Location Services on your device to take advantage of the new Distance Filter!
