  1. I have already worked 3 shifts for Nursa. Why is my background check not complete? It’s been weeks. help!
  2. Meet @Shanalyn H. - this weeks spotlight! With 15 years of experience as a dedicated Caregiver and CNA, they find joy in the personal connections made during one-on-one interactions with clients, patients, and the elderly. Witnessing smiles on their clients' faces after providing care fuels their passion. Eager for the next chapter, their goal is to transition into becoming a Massage Therapist. Outside of work, they cherish their two children and take pride in watching them grow into exceptional adults. A lover of gardening, they also have a fondness for horses, dearly missed from their past. 3. Meet @NikkiNicole - This weeks Nursa Spotlight! 💫 Hey folks! I've been rocking the CNA and insurance game for 19 years, all about making a real difference where it counts. My mission? To be the absolute best in my profession and keep leveling up my education. But the real pride? My amazing kiddos – being their everyday nurse is my ultimate joy. Oh, and did I mention I once rocked the skies as a pregnant flight attendant? Yep, imagine the adventure! Life's a journey, and I'm loving every twist and turn. 🌟 Each week we will introduce some new community members, join me in welcoming others and share your own story here! Share your story!
  4. I am a CNA out of Oklahoma and I'm having the most difficult time picking up shifts. Once I requested the shift I send a message to the facility introducing myself and my interest and in response I get "sorry the shift you requested has been filled ". Does anyone have any tips on getting scheduled.
  5. I’m new to nursa. Since being on nursa I’ve requested so many different positions as a CNA that were available 3 and 4 days prior. The day of my shifts I receive a notification saying my shift is already filled. Then an hour before that scheduled shift. I’m asked if I am still available to work the shift. (No, because once I was told filled. I went to my day job for work).Which shows someone the facility gave the position to they called in. I’m having a hard time understanding this. It seems to be a bit unprofessional and misleading. This should be a first come first serve situation. I am so grateful that I did not leave my day job to become an continuous employee with nursa because I would be without work due to the fact of the facilities having their favorite picks on staff. Which apparently their favorite picks don’t even show up for work. I chose to sign up for nursa because I’m currently working in the hospital 3 days of the week and its 12 hr shifts Doing overtime would be a bit much. Nursa gives you the benefit of working 8 hr shifts which works well for me plus from my understanding it’s a weekly pay,but what’s the hassle in requesting to work to only be disappointed when you’re rejected the day your shift starts. Nursa contract with these facilities needs to be revised because it’s unfair. Especially for families that really needs work to help feed their families.
  6. Hello everyone. Wondered if any one here worked in the northern AZ (Navajo Reservation) as a CNA with Nursa. Would like some input~ Much appreciated.

Most facilities do not have the time to deny every request they get sent in, so is there anyway we can remove the facilities ability to let the shift requester know that they're not going to be accepted for the shift without the facility need to do so? And is there any way that the facility can have to choose what kind of shift it is? (Ex. On-call, full shift etc.) There should be an automated system that will allow the first requester to be confirmed and all others after to be denied or even just have the shift removed once one person already requested or has been confirmed by the shift. And a time limited request would be great so that way these facilities can't just post a shift and forget to respond to it. This app could use more accountability and be even more interactive on the facilities side.
  8. I just want to let ya'll know that despite of my relationship with NURSA (either good or bad), I'm still Thankful to be with this company. From CNA's, Nurses and to all NURSA staff, team and management. I want to extend my arms and say Thank you for being supportive, for providing us a competitive rate that other agencies could not match. Happy Turkey Day ya'll as well! One Love, Rain
  9. I am Certified and licensed in Washington state. and I understated how the prosses works here. how ever can anyone. Can anyone tell me how to become certified in the state where they are from? I can share the information for Washington state. nca endorsement.pdf
  10. Hi! I’m a newbie 🙂 I’m located in South Florida. I’m excited to start. Any tips would be greatly appreciated 😊
  11. I was wondering why there are no CNA positions available in Flagstaff or Prescott if there are how do I find them
  12. Hello everyone! Has anyone actually took their CNA renewal paperwork to a facility they picked up shifts at and had a nurse willing to sign their paperwork? I’ve been hesitant to go since it’s been a little bit since I picked up and I don’t know if they would even do it. I have all my reference paperwork from the facilities I picked up shifts at as well but I just wanted to see if anyone has had success doing it yet.
  13. Hello I’m Teresa and new to this app. Please help me with learning more about the app.
  14. Hi, I am a newbie and wanted to know how this app works
  15. How do we up date our cna license in the app
  16. I am a new CNA & have heard a lot of good things about this app and I would like to know if or when you go to a shift, how it goes and who do you talk to when you get there ? Is there some type of orientation or will they give me an exact assignment?
  17. It will be nice if picking up a shift will be first come first served because ever since I started working for Nursa I’ve only worked four times because facilities either have their own people they like to approve or something else. There is a plethora of CNAs and everybody waiting on one shift without certainty of getting it is frustrating.
  18. I'm not sure what else I need to get past this to start can someone help me
  19. I often work by myself and just curious about other cna’s. How many residents are you comfortable working with? And how many do you think is too many alone? Include which shift.

  21. Hi. I've been a cna for 25 years but working in a facility is new to me. I have only done 1 shift for a different company before & it wasn't great. I have a shift tomorrow and am scared senseless. First the facility specified an N95 mask with goggles or a shield. I do not have any of those items. Will the facility provide them? I have always done homecare. So I know nothing of the routines in a facility. I don't even know if I'm to chart on computers, just take my own notes or what not. NO-ONE was pleased at the last place when I said I had only done homemade & they explained nothing to me. So what is my best approach tomorrow so I can get the most info and be most productive
