Working from home as a nurse has completely changed my life. I miss the bedside as I loved caring for patients and really being present to support them in their moments, but I did not miss bringing home viruses (as I worked in pediatrics) and the time away from family.  If you have a chance, I highly recommend remote nursing jobs.

Yeah, for some people it's an advantage to work from home, and for others it might not be the same. I guess it depends on what type of job you like. Working from home gives you a lot of freedom, though.

Working from home for just a year or two can really give you the break you need from being with patients day after day---especially if you're experiencing burnout. To be able to care for others, you need to care for yourself first!
