You'd have to ask my partner - but I know he always appreciates having a second opinion and telling him when something is an actual emergency room visit or a simple doctor's trip. He might not always appreciate all the testing and follow-up that I encourage, but overall - I think he's happy to be with a nurse. You might have to get his full opinion, though. Not married to, but having a nurse in the family has always been great! My mother-in-law is a nurse, and she can always tell you what to do when you feel even a little bit sick, or when to worry! She saved us in many emergencies since I became a mom, too!
