This might sound cheesy - but for sure the feeling I get from helping people. Cliche, I know - but my time is spent with the patients and working hard while I am there. Since I do either PRN or travel nursing, I don't go to facilities to make friends or socialize with other nurses so any downtime I dedicate to giving my patients all I got. I must admit though, the ability to pick up a 12 hour shift and rake in about $500 in my area makes me proud that my time is serving patients and helping other colleagues, as well.

Doesn't sound cheesy at all! Helping people is one of the biggest rewards of nursing. Watching a patient walk out the hospital doors after a nurse has been at their bedside providing compassionate care is probably one of the best feelings in the world! Oh and the money working PRN is an added bonus 🙂
