Do I have to take a break? What if the shift is too busy?

Kate Olsen

Question

We don't always have the opportunity to take a break during busy shifts. We get it! However, Nursa will defer to the facility regarding break requirements in their building. You are always encouraged to ask if you're required to take a break and, of course, communicate with the staff on shift so that you take it at the right time. Don't take your break right at peak work flow times or leave early thinking it's a "break." Be sure to take the time needed to eat, rest, and recuperate before you jump in and finish your shift strong!! You got this healthcare hero! 🦸‍♀️
