Other discipline shifts

Lacey

Question

I do not understand why NURSA does not allow LPNs to pick up CNA or CMA shifts as our license covers these roles. I’ve never had this issue with any other agency. For Oklahoma, there are very limited LPN shifts through this agency, which is disappointing, and the option to work in other roles you are legally able to is not allowed.

Hi @Lacey! For compliance, the Nursa app will only allow you to pick up shifts for which you have a valid license uploaded. If in your state a CNA/CMA shift is within an LPN scope of practice you can connect with the facility and see if they would allow you to pick up a "CNA/CMA" shift and note that it will probably include CNA/CMA pay as well.
