Read the below 📄 Nurse Community How-Tos 📄 to learn how to use the Nursa Community, ordered from simplest to complex.

 

Important note: Your community account has the same login information, but is separate from your Nursa app account. If you are looking for information around shift specifics please open the Nursa App on your phone or go to app.nursa.com or contact our support team. 

 

  1. How-to create your Nursa Community Account

    1. To have a Nursa Community account, you must have a Nursa App Login

    2. You can create your account by signing into community.nursa.com and following the prompts to create an account or login using your Nursa credentials

    3. Add a Display name

    4. Click “Create My Account”

 

  1. How-To Login to Your Nursa Community Account

    1. Login into Community account by going to Community.nursa.com

    2. Click “Community” Tab within the Nursa App Platform

 

  1. How-To Change Your Community Username

    1. Click here to message the Community Admin

    2. Click “Message”

    3. Provide the username you would like to change

 

  1. How-To Add or Change your Profile Pictures

    1. Click your profile icon in the top right

    2. Your profile will automatically be the first letters in your Display Name. To edit, click the purple image button

    4. Upload your desired profile photo making sure to follow community Code of Conduct

    1. Search on Mobile

      2. Begin your search by typing your key words / terms in search box

      3. You can scroll down for a more refined search result by content type, specific discussion forums, date specific and more.

    2. Search on Desktop

      2. Begin your search by typing your key words / terms in search box

      3. If you are looking in a specific area (Events, Clinician Articles, etc.), you can use the “Everywhere” Dropdown to specify

  1. How-To Attend an Event 

    1. RSVP to Future Event

      1. Go to the Menu Icon in the top right corner or see “Events” at the top of the homepage

      2. Click “Events”

      3. Scroll down to see upcoming Events

      4. Select the event and click “Register Today!”

    2. Previous Events

      1. Go to Topics Drop down

      2. Select “Replays”

      3. Scroll through topics

 

  1. How-To React to a Post or Comment

    1. Navigate to post or comment you would like to react to

    2. Hover over or click the bottom right corner of the post or comment and choose a relevant reaction

 

  1. How-To Comment

    1. Navigate to the post you would like to comment on

    2. Scroll to bottom where you see “Reply to this Topic”

    3. Type response in comment box

    4. Click “Submit Reply”

    5. If you see private information posted, please report the post to the moderator

 

  1. How-To Ask a New Question

    2. Select to create new “Topic”

    3. Under “Community” Select “General Questions”

    4. Click “Continue”

    5. Add your question in the first text entry box, make sure to use a “?”

    6. Add more context to your question in the second, larger text entry box

    7. Optionally select “Add Tags” to add relevant tags making your post more discoverable

    8. Enable “Follow Topic” to be alerted of responses to your question

    9. Click “Submit Question”

    10. If you see private information posted, please report the post to the moderator

 

  1. How-To Start a Group Discussion

    2. Select to create new “Topic”

    3. Under “Groups” Select group you would like to create the discussion in (note: you must be a member of the group to ask a question)

    5. Add your discussion title in the first text entry box

    6. Add the body of the content in the second, larger text entry box

    7. Optionally select “Add Tags” to add relevant tags making your post more discoverable

    8. Enable “Follow Topic” to be alerted of responses to your discussion

    9. Click “Submit Topic”

    10. If you see private information posted, please report the post to the moderator

 

  1. How-To Upvote an Answer

    1. Navigate to post you which to upvote answers

    3. To remove vote, click on the arrow again

 

  1. How-To Add Media to Post

    1. When creating a post or a comment, on the bottom of the box you will be able to attach files or add other media like an existing attachment or image from an URL

    3. You can also add a youtube link and the video will pop up automatically

    4. If you see private or inappropriate media, please click the three dots on the top right corner and report the post

 

  1. How-To Update and Edit Your Posts

    1. Go to the post you would like to change.

    2. Hover over the three dots on the right top corner and click edit

 

  1. How-To Mention a User

    1. In the post or comment, type “@” and the first letter, (at the minimum) of the username of the user you would like to mention

    2. Select the username you would like in the corresponding dropdown list of usernames

    3. Once properly mentioned, it will turn blue to notify the mentioned user

 

  1. How-To Quote a User

    1. To quote the whole post

      1. Select VWGJvqizoEa0w45_VZc_I4bX-Ir6BR8KRJtP7Rfr on the bottom of the post or reply

      3. You can select additional posts to quote

      4. Click “Quote 1 Post” (the number will match the number of quotes you clicked to quote)

      5. The quote will auto populate in the text box below.

      6. Type your response in the comment box beneath the quoted post

      7. Click “Submit Reply”

    2. Quote only a part of a post or reply

      1. Or to select a small part of the post, highlight and a 1qUyz3cU-v_mWG6XBF1oExr2-kwfajs5BE-cxCj5will pop-up for you to select

      2. Click “Quote Selection”

      3. The quoted selection will auto populate in the text box below

      4. Type your response in the comment box beneath the quoted post

      5. Click “Submit Reply”

 

  1. How-To Private Message

    2. Click “Compose New”

    3. Type the username of the recipient in the “To” field

    4. Add a subject line in the second “Subject” Field

    5. Type in the body of your message in the text entry box under “Message”

    6. Click “Send”

 

  1. How-To Follow a User

    1. If you see a user you would like to follow in the discussions, click on their name and it will take you to their profile

    2. Click Uf6qz3daaUlXYWLmfc0tL-sVXsYnfmE8DcJVZdNBto follow their content and be notified when they post new content

    3. If you are searching for specific users, you can click the D4UZQdsWRTByw7kOnurWwyrdo1EJzfmblwagHc4H icon

    4. Select member search

    5. Enter name or refine search criteria

    7. A list of clinicians will show up, click “Follow Member”

  1. How-To Report Inappropriate Behavior

    1. Should you come across a topic or comment which you think needs to be reported, then please click on the three dots on the top right of the post, and click “Report”:

    2. Cases in which a topic or comment should be reported:

      1. Spam

      2. Advertisement

      3. Soliciting

      4. Harassment

      5. Private information (Email address, phone number, etc.)

      6. Any other content that is in conflict with our Code of Conduct

      7. If you are unsure, please report it anyways.

 

  1. How-To Set up Notifications

    1. Navigate to your profile and click theeUFbmZSzkMacfGTIY9E9eQDqJQjfocFlXz00hKCW icon

    2. Select “Notification Settings”

    3. You can go through different notification settings and check if you you want to receive notifications through email and or the notification list in the community

    4. Settings will automatically save when selected or deselected

 

  1. How-To Follow (subscribe) Specific Content

    1. See above how to follow content by a specific author

    4. To unfollow, simply click the follow Tbid_6__FldcUXOThd9aENURPc5vlAyJRHQl1kr4icon again and select “unfollow”

    5. You can adjust notifications by click on the eUFbmZSzkMacfGTIY9E9eQDqJQjfocFlXz00hKCW icon and scrolling to “Followed Content”
