Krishna Floisand Posted August 31, 2023 Posted August 31, 2023 Have liability/malpractice insurance? What questions do you have it? 1 Quote
Nueva Koehler Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Every self-employed nurse should have liability/malpractice insurance which also includes license protection. The facilities' liability insurance extends to their staff only. Something to keep in mind, even if we as nurses did not make the error, we can still get sued. Unfortunately, we live in a highly litigious society and the reality is that; we will get sued whether or not we were the ones who made the mistake. Liability insurance for a self-employed nurse can run anywhere from $300-$700 for the year. Its worth every penny for peace of mind. 1 4 Quote
Krishna Floisand Posted September 1, 2023 Author Posted September 1, 2023 I know you have talked about this before @Nueva Koehler! How easy is it to get liability/malpractice insurance? Can it differ by state or license? 1 1 Quote
Nueva Koehler Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 @Krishna Floisandbased on my experience, it's very easy to get. I personally use NSO but there are many others. 2 Quote

Krishna Floisand Posted October 30, 2023 Author Posted October 30, 2023 So true! I hear the NSO process is pretty fast and easy. @Janice Goines if you get insurance, let us know how the process goes! 1 Quote
