  1. I would think alot of good proteins to munch on the go would be good healthy snacks for nurses. Like creamy peanut butter and celery sticks, yummy.
  2. I heard some great things about Apple smart watches for nurses!
  3. I think strong communication skills and attention to detail are qualities that make nurses stand out.
  4. I totally agree Miranda. For some shoe recommendations for male nurses, this article could be a good starting point.
  5. Choosing to go back to nursing school for a second degree or for the first time is a big decision. Plus, there are so many nursing programs across the country I can imagine it may feel overwhelming. I like this article on the top 10 best nursing programs in the USA, maybe it can help someone
  6. Pens for nurses are like a pair of socks in a dryer; they somehow get sucked into an abyss of nothing when no one is looking
  7. Oh, thats a good one! I have misophonia, so for me, it's when I have colleagues around me smacking their gum.. gahhhhh!
  8. Great question, I am a night owl, so I would probably do well working the night shift!
  9. Hahah, I can only imagine the stories from night shift nurses, but what about people who date night shift nurses? This is a hilarious article on how to date a nurse who works the night shift, do you think it's accurate? hehe
  10. This is great advice. Some of the nicest people I have met on this planet were nurses!
  11. PRN shifts are absolutely the way of the future. Great pay, flexible scheduling, work-life balance, it's a win-win.
  12. I think it depends on the environment in which a nurse works. At the same time, I think per diem nursing can be a great way for nurses to avoid burnout and help healthcare facilities avoid high turnover rates. What do you guys think?
  13. I would like to know this too 🙂
  14. Working PRN is a great way to earn higher rates and achieve an amazing work-life balance. Nursa gives nurses a chance to do just that. It's definitely legit and super easy to navigate. I like Nursa because you can also find jobs online using your cell --- it's fun to scroll through potential jobs!
  15. Miranda, you are so right! Working as a nurse writer to earn extra cash while still maintaining a great work-life balance is a great side hustle for nurses.
  16. I agree that nurse burnout is prominent, but I also think many nurses love their jobs and find them meaningful.
  17. I am interested too! I would love to have more insight on nurses who have worked in Europe, or even in Latin America!
  18. I like braids that pull back the top part of the hair. I think braids can help balance the weight of a ponytail or a bun!
  19. Doesn't sound cheesy at all! Helping people is one of the biggest rewards of nursing. Watching a patient walk out the hospital doors after a nurse has been at their bedside providing compassionate care is probably one of the best feelings in the world! Oh and the money working PRN is an added bonus 🙂
  20. Great article! I know it can be confusing sometimes trying to figure out the difference between certifications! This article explains it well!
  21. I haven't been to a nursing conference but Nursing World Conference 2024 has some great resources and lists of speakers and events for the upcoming year!
  22. I used to work in a clinic, where breaks were mandated, but the manager didn't care, and this "said" never wanted to give vacations to workers. Needless to say he was fired a year later (thank gosh) Also, here's a good article on how to best use Holiday PTO
