  1. @Rainier Bansil you're the real MVP! So grateful to have incredible clinicians, like you, who care for others. Healthcare is an incredible industry to work in and YOU make all the difference πŸ’œ HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2023!
  2. Hi @Adele! Are there specific facilities that you're seeing changes at? The market is constantly changing and as things have somewhat "leveled out" post pandemic, things have shifted. BUT we still strive to get you what you need! πŸ’œ
  3. Are your requests sitting there for too long, not getting scheduled? Which facilities are slower to respond? How long do you normally have to wait?
  4. As a new mom and healthcare professional - number 3 hits hard πŸ˜‚ I feel like I'm the ultimate "Karen" at the Drs office and always thinking, "Just let me do it." Number 8 also made me laugh because I think I'm at the point where I prefer wearing scrubs. It takes away to difficulty of finding what to wear! Amiright?!
  5. If I understand your question correctly - these are my thoughts... 1. If you are a W2 employee at a facility, it is typically discouraged that you pick up shifts at that facility through Nursa. The facilities themselves do not allow that and if they catch wind that it's happening, there are usually consequences. Of course, that's up to the facility themselves! 2. If you are a W2 employee somewhere, you are totally able to pick up shifts as a 1099 and file your own taxes in addition to your W2. I've never had any issues with that! And on the flip side, if you are picking up shifts as a 1099 via Nursa or another platform, it doesn't prevent you from getting a W2 job. Hopefully this is helpful! haha
  6. Anytime I worked a noc shift and had to do rounds, I was terrified to unexpectedly find a resident awake and staring right into my soul!! I cannot tell you how many times it happened, so I often found myself having to sing happy tunes and turn on the hall lights πŸ˜‚ And I would ALWAYS play the tv in the background.
  7. Nursa does not provide badges. We encourage you to upload a profile photo to your Nursa account and add in your drivers license! Also, you have the ability to contact the facilities from the job card and ask all the questions you need in order to feel prepared. I hope this helps πŸ™‚ We are so happy that you are here! If you have other questions on getting started, please schedule a call with a clinician success specialist here: https://calendly.com/gtm-3/onboarding-call
  8. The filters can be tricky, that's for sure! We hear you and agree that it can be overwhelming with so many notifications. We have been working on some features to help clean up that process for our clinicians. I also LOVE the recommendations you gave here with showing the shift time in the notification and I'm going to pass it right along! If you have additional feedback, please schedule some time on my personal calendar πŸ™‚ I'd love to chat. https://calendly.com/kolsen-nursa/onboarding-call
  9. @Nicolette The facilities also have a cancellation policy actually! It's hard to see from the clinician side, but we hold the facilities that utilize the Nursa App to a high standard as well and even have full teams that help coach them on best practices and behaviors. We never want to leave you guys hanging and try to aid the facilities to be responsive and always working towards being better πŸ™ŒπŸ»
  10. I can't tell you how many times I showed up to work with the mix matched shoes πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜… But hey, at least I remembered shoes at all!
  11. Hey Mornique! First off, I think working 16 hr shifts is a great way to bring in some extra cash and fill up your work week πŸ™ŒπŸ» The reason there is the block on the back to back shifts is to account for travel time. It seems like a simple issue, however, in our experience it was causing lots of problems for clinicians and facilities because they would often get stuck at the first shift and then be late to the second. πŸ€ͺ If the second facility agrees to accept you with the understanding that you may be a bit late, then the facility could post the shift at a later time and then you are able to adjust the shift time to when you arrived in the shift report πŸ™‚ As for the emergency line, I will follow up on that and see what the block is. Our current support hours are 6am-10pm MST and we are working on pushing for 24 hr support very soon! πŸ€—
  12. Nursa focuses on PNR or per diem shifts. This allows clinicians to pick up shifts that are closer to them and not have the looming commitment of a 13 week contract! It puts the flexibility and ease of controlling your schedule back in the clinicians hands, as well as giving the facilities the ability to manage who they choose to hire for each shift.
  13. We don't always have the opportunity to take a break during busy shifts. We get it! However, Nursa will defer to the facility regarding break requirements in their building. You are always encouraged to ask if you're required to take a break and, of course, communicate with the staff on shift so that you take it at the right time. Don't take your break right at peak work flow times or leave early thinking it's a "break." Be sure to take the time needed to eat, rest, and recuperate before you jump in and finish your shift strong!! You got this healthcare hero! πŸ¦Έβ€β™€οΈ
  14. The SOS feature will only send out one text message per shift time that you are interested in. The next best thing is to check your Nursa app notifications because "urgent" notifications will always come through for all shifts πŸ™‚
