  1. Starting August 18th, we will meet Fridays to talk through best practices in getting ready for your first couple of shifts with Nursa! We will also work to publish tips on Fridays and encourage others to post theirs as well 🙂
  2. I finished a shift yesterday and downloaded my shift report. The download consisted of all my credentials. What am I supposed to do with the download now? There's no instructions on what to do with it. And there's a glitch that happens after downloading that when I reopen my app it goes straight to the download shift report link again (pretty frustrating).
  3. Congrats on that first shift @Heatherjens! How did it go?? Anything you wished you knew before starting? Do I see another one scheduled soon? 🙂
  4. It's been a while since I have used this app, and I picked up my first shift yesterday. There are a handful of facilities listing shifts as far out as one month, and I can guarantee that these shifts are not currently available. This is misleading to clinicians who pick up shifts, waiting for an answer but will never get one. My thought is that facilities should be required to pay a fee when posting shifts and if the shift is filled, perhaps the fee can be deducted from their payment.
  5. I am trying to book a shift in texas but I don't see any shift. Does this app work in Houston Texas. Please help
  6. Why is it so difficult to obtain shifts through Nursa from LA to the bay it seems impossible
  7. I wanted to schedule a few shifts throughout July. Now I can't because my account is frozen. All I did was cancel the requested shifts. The other scheduled shifts weren't canceled. I am starting a new job in August and was hoping to work a few shifts beforehand. Is it possible that the freeze can be removed if we didn't cancel a scheduled shift? Has anyone had their account unfrozen before the 14 days? Thanks
  8. Hello, I live in Las Vegas, NV and normally there are only shifts listed on here for one facility for RN. From the listings it would appear they are in dire need just about every day for night or day nurse. However, I have selected that I can work a shift probably 10 times or more and I have NEVER gotten any response back from them. Has anyone else experienced this? I've been an RN now for 8 yrs and my total nurse experience has been 10 yrs. I have just been curious as to how a facility always has this "need" and yet they never contact you to pick up a shift.
  9. Usually I check my phone throughout the night to see if I am scheduled for a shift. This time I was not schedule, I slept, woke at 9am and found out I was scheduled 1 hr prior to shift start. And I was placed on a block acct after contacting the facility informing them that I did not get a notification and that i could be there in 30mins. Usually I don't belly ache about things, but this angered me. Due to the fact that there should be a time when it is allow to schedule prior to the beginning of a shift. Just like when facilities wants a 2 hr notice of cancelations. Why not return the courtesy? But by day 4 of this info my acct will be reviewed with nursa supervisors and hopefully be restored. This was my first time experience and I think it is silly. Has anyone else experienced this?

  12. We have a few shifts on June 28th that are available in Port Charlotte FL! LPN - https://app.nursa.com/jobs/detail/1150185963?from=shiftshare LPN - https://app.nursa.com/jobs/detail/3760184235?from=shiftshare CNA - https://app.nursa.com/jobs/detail/5104735410?from=shiftshare
  13. When will you guys update your app to where if a clinician requests a shift ,that clinician gets the shift???? It shouldn’t be where multiple clinicians can request one shift. That’s how we lose out on the opportunity to make money. I say that because some buildings choose favorites and don’t give others a chance to perform or show what good they are. You’re the only app (registry) that does that .. it’s not right. Also, why are the facilities keeping the shifts posted if a clinician is not needed period?? It’s frustrating because they leave you on requested at times instead of just denying the shift or simply deleting it period. And another thing.. allowing the buildings to verify shifts late or not at all delays our pay. Why is it in their control or your control as we are not employees? The better thing to do is pay after the work is done as it should be for self contractors.
  14. wondering why is all the shift coming back as filled is it just me

  17. Facilities keep posting shifts that they dont’t need staff for. They post a lot of these shifts as back up if someone calls off. I have had staffers tell me that all their shifts are filled for the next two weeks but have shifts posted on the app. Or I will show up to a shift on time and be told - “well, everyone showed up so we don’t need you”. If you don’t need me why did you book me. I wasted my gas and time to come to your facility but you only booked me as a back up. This needs to stop! Facilities complain that agency staff are not reliable but these facilities are not reliable as well. Nursa needs to do something about penalising facilities for false advertising. the other day I showed up to a 12 hr shift and the scheduler had scheduled for only four hours! Why would you book a 12 hr shift but schedule me for four hours?! I left and did not work the shift (I went somewhere else to work) because that is ridiculous.
  18. Let us know what you want to know or wish you knew when starting out doing local PRN shifts.
  19. Have you ever thought about giving NOC's a try? Local facilities need your help filling nocturnal shifts. To help ensure patients near you get the care they need, Nursa will pay you up to 15% more when you fill a NOC shift through the Nursa app. The facts: Typical NOC shifts start at 6PM and run to 6AM Most patients and residents are in bed the majority of the shift, resulting in fewer call lights Time to complete your charting and give the facility a 5-star experience Free up your days and enhance your work-life balance Find a NOC shift near you! Nursa has partnered with Perk, a local Utah brand, to help caffeinate your NOC shift! Use this link to get 10% off your order of Perk Energy. This is an exclusive offer for our Utah clinicians!

  21. How does Nursa support and helps us when Facilities schedule us for 12 hours than when you get here they tell you to do showers only, I’m almost done in total maybe 6 hours. Another Nursa contractor told me they sent her home early too since she was done with showers. I got an Uber for $47 dollars to get here and more than likely another $47 to go back home. After setting aside for taxes x2 since we get taxed double I’m left with technically nothing! It’s upsetting that we are being taken advantage of! Especially since facilities are paying less than $30 now. SMH! I can’t even request new shifts since I was supposed to stay until 6pm the Nursa app doesn’t let me!
  22. I thought I remembered seeing that I need three orientation shifts prior to starting?
  23. There is a facility where I am located that posts the majority of shifts in my area. I have been requesting shifts since my initial download of this app. Never been accepted for a shift. Messaged the point of contact repeatedly to figure out what I’m doing wrong. The staffing associate finally responds saying that they were good for the day. So why are shifts being posted that don’t even need to be filled. Then I finally got another response about how to get booked. I was told that I need to come to the facility to get a background check down and fingerprints done that will cost me out of my own pocket. How was this not communicated from weeks ago and how is anyone supposed to know automatically? I was told today that Nursa was unaware of this process. Very frustrating.
  24. I worked a shift recently and the facility canceled the shift 2 days after. Now the RCC is saying I didn’t work the shift, but the employees know I did. How do I get paid for working that shift?
  25. It’ll be nice for NURSA to get with it.. it’s 2023 and they are still doing facility shift reports… update the way you guys clock in and out so that clinicians can get paid on time. Example either gps while using the app and have clinicians clock in and out so therefore you have a location and know they are working there for the day or have a facility sign the app when done working. It’s that simple.
