You have to remember they are humans and have human emotions too. Be confident but not abrasive or entitled. Sometimes you get a real gem of an administrator who wants to help. I've been lucky to work with some good ones. Sometimes they have power to make a difference, sometimes not so much. I do think you can look for opportunities for improvement and come up with solutions. That is huge! Don't come with problems, they get enough of that.
