  1. I don't view Nursa as an agency. For me, Nursa is like a middleman. Facilities have staffing needs, and clinicians need work. Nursa introduces facilities and clinicians to each other via app, and we as clinicians take over from there. Yes, there are app issues, and I am sure Nursa is working on them because if we are successful, Nursa will be successful. We put too much responsibility on Nursa when we are not employees of Nursa. We are independent contractors.
  2. Hello to everyone. I want to encourage all my fellow nurses who do not have liability insurance to please get it. Unfortunately, we live in a litigious society, and you want to ensure you are covered.
  3. It’s Halloween time...has anyone had an experience at work that gave you goosebumps? I had an experience a couple of days with a resident that, to this day, gives me goosebumps when I think about it—just a bit of background. I am half Asian and half Northwestern European. I identify as Asian because I grew up In an Asian household and community. Filipinos are superstitious believers in signs and spirits. This past Friday, I worked the 6p-6a shifts at a facility here in Arizona. Most residents under my care have some cognitive impairment and varying severity. I use a penlight when I do rounds, especially if they are asleep because I want to ensure they are not in any acute distress. I entered the room of an elderly female resident, went near the bed, and saw that she was asleep. I was approaching the bedroom door to exit when I heard, Lulu? She startled me because I did not expect her to begin talking suddenly. I turned around and said yes and apologized if I had woken her. She said I did not wake her. She just crawled into bed because her visitor had just left. She went on to say what a wonderful time she had. This person brought her comfort, and her presence alone was more than she could ever ask for. She stares at me like she’s looking into my soul and says, she looks just like you around the eyes. Thank you very much, Lulu, for sharing her with me. Without even thinking, I asked who and instantly regretted it. Your daughter, she says. I reply with, what daughter? Maria, Silly. I excused myself and informed her I would be finishing my rounds. I said good night, and she said, you’re a proud mama that loves her daughter. I immediately went into the utility room, and as I broke down, I got on the phone and asked my husband to check on our daughter Maria. Do not ask her if she is okay; I want you to look at her and ensure she is okay. I am not a superstitious fanatic, but I do believe in certain things. This is an experience I will never forget.
  4. I have a sickly child and spent most of this year in and out of the hospital. I am so grateful for Nursa; It's everything I need right now to make a living without having to commit to a facility and a schedule. Yes, the app has its issues, but so what. Nursa was a life changer for me. I never dread reaching out to Nursa support via chat or phone call because everyone I have come into contact with has been friendly and professional. @Angelica Reed @Ashley C @Keaton Reading @Saxon Jones @Joseph Jacobs @Laura Ellis @Karston Modlinski @Heloiza Naemy Sadoyama Camargo @jodi palmer @Leonardo Sobreira @Krishna Floisand I have had some sort of interaction with everyone here at least once and I have had numerous interactions with a few. Every single contact I initiated was because I had a question, maybe I was having an issue with the app, maybe it was my check. I have never ever reached out to Nursa support just to say hello, how are you? I hope you are having a good day. I think you are a special group of people that even when faced with an angry frustrated crowd, you manage to smile. I appreciate all of you guys so much. To anyone I might have missed, I appreciate you so much too.
  5. Those that work on Friday’s and Saturday’s aren’t benefiting especially if the facilities don’t confirm shift reports. I worked night shift on the 5th and submitted the report sheet when my shift ended on the 6th. Until now it's still processing when it should have been paid out today but I understand that things happen.
  6. Yes, I contacted Nursa support and I was told that the payments team is experiencing a bug in their system. 😔
  7. I usually call the facility a couple of days before my shift and introduce myself. It’s a good time to inquire about login credentials the facilities policy for charting. I find it useful so when I show up for my shift I don’t necessarily have to hold anyone up and I like to get started immediately.
  8. Hello everyone. I understand the frustration with the app and I myself have had to contact Nursa support many times. Sometimes it’s a quick fix and sometimes it’s not, so what I’ve done while I wait for the app to be fixed is go to app.nursa.com.
  9. @Melanie Ott they function the same way but there are differences. I was waiting on a promotional offer from my bank. In order to qualify, I need to have qualifying direct deposits. I inquired about it and I was told my deposits don’t qualify as direct deposits because an EFT is an umbrella term, it’s not specific. ACH is specific to direct deposits, direct payment and can be considered income.
  10. Does anyone know why the payroll deposits come in as EFT instead of ACH?
  11. @Mornique DiceyI know it defeats the purpose of the app, but you can view your notifications through nursa.com
  12. I am having the same problem with notifications ever since the update.
  13. I just want to give a shout out to Leonardo. He was able to fix an issue that I was having with the app for quite sometime. Thank you!🎉
  14. I appreciate the overall concept of Nursa. It allows nurses like me who are unable to commit to a schedule. The glitches with the app can get a bit frustrating at times. The only filter I have is PN & Arizona. As soon as I opened the shifts tab, this notice pops up " we cannot find shifts for your current search, please update your filters to see more". I add LTAC, SNF & LTC but I still get the same notification. Usually, shifts that are available, start at present day and as you continue to scroll it shows the following day and so on. However, as I was scrolling, the shifts would start on 07/10 then skip 07/11 and go to 07/12 then revert back to 07/10 then 07/11 and skip 07/12 and go to 07/13. It was not in order and shifts in other cities would pop up that were not part of my filter. I filtered the dates but it didn't help.
