  1. I had picked up a shift that was over a hour away, when I got there they had put me in a COVID section. I had talked to the coordinator about not working that hall and asked if they could move me to a hall that does not have COVID. Long story short she told me 'I don't know what to tell you, I'll repost and find someone else to work the shift' I have 7 autoimmune diseases, I won't pick up shifts that has the 'COVID' tag. My body is already attacking its self daily, I don't want nor need to add to it if I'm able to avoid it. Which I can not avoid if the facilities ARE NOT ADDING THE COVID TAG TO THEIR POSTINGS. I lost out not only on 335 dollars, but I drove over an hour to work just for me to have to turn around. AFTER being there for an hour trying to figure out other solutions for me to stay. So I wasted at least 3 and half hours of my time for their lack of requirements as of facility posting. Which I did not get paid for my time, even though it was not my error, nor my lack of trying.
  2. I have never had this problem before and have no idea the exact solution. I requested an RN shift and was cancelled shortly after I was scheduled for the shift. I was in the middle of driving there so I may have missed the alert. Not sure exactly when the cancellation occurred. The message states "Facility has removed you from their shifts. You are no longer scheduled for this shift." In the Nursa terms it states a facility has to pay $75 if they simply cancel you before the shift starts and within 12 hours of the shift starting. I am not seeing any $75 payment. It also states in the terms that they must pay you 50% of the remainder of the shift if you are cancelled after the start time. I cannot see a time stamp, but I was able to tap "I'm Here" in the app on the shift, but found out that I was cancelled possibly after I arrived. How do I make sure I am receiving payment for this cancellation and getting the proper cancellation payment. At a minimum I believe I am owed $75, but I did arrive at the facility. The only thing that is not clear is when they actually removed me from the shift. I am unclear since there is no time stamp. I believe what happened is they double booked the same shift and picked the cheaper LPN worker. In my opinion just playing games. I called support and reported it, but I feel like support ignored the issue and gave me no assurance that I would receive anything. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? How did it turn out?
  3. Does anyone know if I can pick up IHC shifts even though I work for Primary Childrens but not in bedside nursing? I am a Case Manager but want to pick up bedside nursing positions. Is this possible?
  4. I use to love this app but here lately it’s been impossible to get shifts and facilities cancel you when you want send you home when they want and expect you to show up and be happy because you got a shift and can block you anytime they want I’m about to be done for a little while because it isn’t fair that they can do that and you have no reason why
  5. I had a facility call me to see if I was interested in a shift they said it was posted on nursa. I looked on the app and website I didn’t see it. I called directly to nursa and they tried to help. I was disappointed because how many shifts have been missed? The reps are very supportive but things were never fixed infact they’re worse I’m luck if see 3-4 shifts now. Never had this problem til this past summer when they made changes.
  6. Am I getting my shifts canceled because I'm unvaccinated? I haven't had covid and I test twice a week. This is unfair treatment and needs to be investigated.
  7. You no longer will need to search through ALL the shifts to find your favorite facilities. View all of the shifts at your favorite facilities then filter further for your wanted shifts. Learn more about the new feature here and let us know what questions you have below!
  8. I feel if company’s cancel our shift’s they should be held a countable for half day pay it’s not easy to look for a shift to pickup after company’s do this if we are being held a countable when we cancel then so should they or Nursa should give us half day’s pay this need’s to stop start holding all companies a countable we’re loosing money when this happens
  9. I was requested via text from a facility to work 6A-6p on the 16th. it was nearly a $500/shift, but because I cancelled the prior week I wasn’t able to accept the shift via Nursa app. Their staffer had stated that they would submit my time/rate and bonus of $50. I pick up quite a bit of shifts at this facility and wonder if any other clinicians have experienced this situation.
  10. Well this week I requested a shift from Sunday to Saturday and I only got Scheduled 3 days. I’m not understanding how Nursa expects people to make a living when you can’t even get selected for shifts! I have 17yrs experience and can’t even get more than 3days working off this APP. And when I do it’s always the weekends. The days No one wants to work. It would be soooooo beneficial to the many people in my boat if the shifts were first come first serve! I can pick up a shift for Wednesday on a Monday but then someone can pick it up Wednesday and they get the shift while I been waiting in Limbo for 48hrs
  11. Ok I can’t be the only one but I miss being able to find shifts within a radius I could set, or sort them by pay. why? Because now when I put in my state, which is Oklahoma, and I live in the southwestern part, the first shifts it shows me are Sallisaw, Barndall, Tulsa, and Sulphur. the first 3 towns there are all over 3 hours from me, in north eastern OK, Sulphur is 108 miles one way east of me. Then I thought we’ll maybe better pay is how it’s sorted? Uh no, sorry I can’t drive 4 hours one way to make $4-10 less per hour. I have to sit through their masses of postings, and mixed in those will be some from OKC but they’re mostly at the bottom. I can drive to OKC in an hour, those shifts are a reasonable distance. The same goes for if I add Texas to the search (I’m licensed there too) it will show me San Antonio, Austin, and Conroe right at the top…all of those are 5-6 hours from me, but Fort Worth? Nope nothing there. Granted it’s a 3 hour drive but being a major metropolitan area, the pay can motivate me to drive that far, and I know people there so if I can get a few shifts, we’ll I have a couch to crash on for a few days. Please change the search function bsck go allowing us to decide how far we are willing to drive for what pay. Fuel isn’t cheap, so I try to stay within an hour of my home unless it’s SOS with a big incentive then I might because the pay covers the fuel.
  12. Hello is anyone having trouble with shifts at Mission Pines in Las Vegas? I worked there over the weekend and I had to leave a hr early for an emergency and now they won’t schedule me again because I reported the nurse and aide I was working with left me on the floor for a hr and a half while they went on break. I got a message saying I should of told the scheduler I had to leave but I told the nurse who I was working with I was leaving. Since I reported that nurse I can’t get scheduled anymore
  13. I would like if dates would go in order for the shifts. As you can see even using the search by date the shifts still come up out of order as seen in my photo.
  14. If a facility cancels you last minute, its ok for them to do, but if we do it we get a 2 week ban? Thats ridiculous. I had a facility cancel my shifts today for a few hours from now, stating they filled it in house. Ok, but if I had done that to them, I'd be on a 2 week ban. Of course they can get away with it and no consequences for them, meanwhile I'm missing an entire nights work because I don't have anything open last minute to pick up. It's as inconvenient for me to plan to work over night and now I'm short an entire shift for the week and either have to take the pay cut or make it up. This has happened to others I know, one drove over an hour from where we live to be cancelled when she got there. This isn't acceptable at all and there should be some recourse for us. We spend our time and fuel to go to these places and fill their deficiencies, and they wonder why they can't keep appropriately staffed? I go to this place frequently, they call me at all hours to come cover shifts for them and I do. I told them today not to bother calling me to come cover down if they can't have the decency to not cancel a scheduled shift on me last minute.
  15. Tried to just put Utah but I still get other States
  16. Why am I seeing shifts from other States beside Utah it's a little annoying
  17. What is the process for beginning to pick up hospital shifts with Nursa? I've only ever done long term care. Also, I live in UT if that helps because it's probably a little different in other states, I'm assuming? 🤔
  18. Hi, I'm newish to the app and was thinking about picking up long term care shifts. Does anyone have any advice as to what to expect, how to physically or mentally prepare, etc...
  19. The app has been working fine but sometimes like today the jobs I’m seeking here in my state and area are not shown but what’s shown are jobs away from my state and area. Does anyone else have these issues?
  20. Hi Everyone! Sandra here, new to the Nursa community. Great to be here! I do have a few questions though… Are nurses oriented to the facility the first day so we know where everything is? Are we allowed to go ahead of time and get familiar with the layout of the building, med room, and other things we need to know before we start. I just feel a lot of time is wasted just trying to figure out things at the beginning of shift and take away from patient care if we don’t know where things are or how their charting system works, etc… I would appreciate any help with answering these questions. Thank you! 😊
  21. Hi. Once registered, how does one find out which jobs are available?
  22. What are your must have's on a shift to make it a successful one? What can you not leave your house without? I know everyone is different but I do love those multi color click pens... I was so sad when I lost mine!
  23. I often work by myself and just curious about other cna’s. How many residents are you comfortable working with? And how many do you think is too many alone? Include which shift.
  24. Hello everyone and to all NURSA team! I have been with this company for 1 year and I love it! There are some things that I would like to see with NURSA, and those are: Increase pay/bonuses for clinicians who have higher ratings with many shifts or facilities worked. The shifts posted on app should be in chronological order (like from today's date to beyond), this makes a lot easier to keep track of shifts. We used to have a filter that tells clinician of which facilities pays most, what happened to that? lol More coverage throughout states from West to East Coast. Travel contracts with an option to work as 1099? (I know this may sound impossible but it could happen). I know this may seem a lot, and this is just in my own words. But ya'll had been doing great to me and us clinicians from day one we started to use this app. I truly love the fact that NURSA allows us to work in our own practice and create a life changing wealth or freedom. I'm saying this because I was a staff working in a nursing home since 2009. (I started to earn $18 an hour as an LPN, but never got raised after that for years!) NURSA just keeps growing & growing with new management team (from R&D to Marketing), and I'm proud to be part of it! I cant wait for this company to thrive and grow more! Rain LPN
